Desktop IT Support Engineer

London - Full time on-site

6 months initial contract

£27/hour


We are working with a global bank to hire a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their team based in London, providing comprehensive IT support for their desktop and desk-side environments in non-trading floors. This role involves supporting MS Windows, Citrix Receiver, MS Office, and various business applications, as well as handling hardware such as laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.


Main Duties:

  • Deliver 2nd line IT support to colleagues across the EMEA region
  • Manage the IT support contact number, respond to calls, create tickets, and escalate issues as needed
  • Administer IT environments, including PC build and configuration, application software, SCCM, and printing
  • Liaise with and monitor escalations to 3rd level support groups
  • Perform daily checks on office printers and conference rooms, logging tickets and escalating issues to 3rd level support
  • Participate in IT projects as needed


Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Citrix Receiver, MS Office, and business applications
  • Proficient in administering and configuring PC builds, application software, and SCCM
  • Experience with video conferencing systems and office printer environments
  • Ability to manage and document incidents and service requests effectively
