About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a huge difference to TEC Partnership as the strategic lead for all things digital. The role leads a multi-disciplinary substantial team to drive forward the use of digital technologies throughout the organisation with the aim of improving our use of digital in the delivery of teaching/learning, our administrative and business support processes and all other aspects that utilise information and digital technologies. The post encompasses horizon scanning and forward planning for new and emerging technologies including virtual reality, immersive and in particular artificial intelligence across the whole of TEC Partnerships operations. As the leader in this area the post will have the responsibility for the departments that are able to effectively embed these technologies.

About the person

To be appointed to this post you will have an extremely strong technical background with excellent understanding of IT and digital technologies in the context of education or a similar environment.

The ideal candidate will also:

  • Need to have outstanding up to date knowledge of the latest technologies available
  • Be able to evidence how you keep up to date with these technologies and where you have effectively implemented them.
  • Be an absolute enthusiast for the use of technology in teaching, learning and evidence how you have made significant system improvements with the use of new technology and ideas.
  • You will need to be able to lead from the front, be very visible and present to the highest standards.
