Our client is an international full service, global engineering, repair and logistics company providing best-cost solutions to many of the world's premier brands. They support the entire product life cycle, from original design input, pre-sales testing, local customisation and configuration, through to their field support activities that include technical assistance as well as product repair, replacement and refurbishment programs.
Your new role
As an innovative employee, you are an elementary part of the support, maintenance, and changing of existing software applications, but also new development and maintenance of applications under C# / ASP.NET and MVC.
Interdisciplinary cooperation in cross-departmental teams in an international environment is an important part of your work.
Participation in projects and support of the specialist departments
Understanding of the core processes and obstacles of the departments
Conversion of business requirements into technical specifications
Creation of test cases, database modelling as well as the execution of software tests
Participation in system integration to connect subsystems into an overall system
Technical conception and implementation of GUIs
Creation of technical documentationThis role will be based in Northamptonshire once the new site opens, but initially this will be Buckinghamshire based and the client has requested 3 days on site working.
What you'll need to succeed
Successfully completed studies in computer science or comparable education
Very good user knowledge in software development with C#/.NET and in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript/Angular, Webservices and Responsive Webdesign)
Advanced skills in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and creation of cross-browser compatible applications
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and experience with jQuery and handling of AJAX
Proficiency in one or more popular JavaScript frameworks e.g. Angular
Intermediate database skills (SQL structural query language, database design, master/slave, MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL or MariaDB)
You value robust and maintainable code and address operational concerns through observable software.
Skilled at working with common design patterns, development methodologies and clean code principles
Ideally knowledgeable in writing high quality code and testing for quality with unit, integration, and acceptance tests executed in an automated fashion in a continuous integration environment.
Conceptual and analytical thinking skills as well as a very good understanding of processes.
