Product Development Assistant Contract (PAYE or Umbrella) February 2026 London based Are you a driven and detail-oriented individual with a passion for product development? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you The company is seeking a talented Product Development Assistant to join their dynamic team in London. As the Product Development Assistant , you will play a crucial role in supporting the Product Development Manager in overseeing the end-to-end product development process for the Outerwear category. This position involves close collaboration with designers and cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful transition of concepts from initial idea to final production. Key Responsibilities: Manage the product development critical path, ensuring key milestones are met Maintain effective communication with vendors throughout the development process Track delivery of prototypes and showroom samples Organise and manage prototype fit sessions Coordinate raw material management with RM Design and vendors Oversee press sample tracking and management Support vendor management and maintain strong working relationships Lead end-to-end organisation of proto reviews Collaborate on Look Book preparation, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of content Maintain accurate daily data, including Bill of materials, Sampling and production details, Purchase orders and invoices, Departmental tracking documents and shipping paperwork Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required Assist in budget tracking and management Conduct risk assessments from development to production stages Ensure high product quality from prototype to final production Ensure all developments meet brand guidelines and legal requirements Provide day-to-day guidance to junior team members as required What We're Looking For The ideal Product Development Assistant candidate will have: Experience of product development of Outerwear Experience of following the Product Development calendar Experience of working closely with manufacturers for the development of Outerwear Effective relationship management with design and merchandising teams Adaptable and flexible to meet the ever changing demands of the business Enjoys working in a highly pressurised environment Excellent influencing skills and strong interpersonal skills Team Player
