Business Development Manager

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Company: The Care Leaders

Location: Remote/Flexible

Salary: £36,000 per year (FTE) + 3% commission + bonus scheme. This is offered as a 4-day-per-week role (pro-rata to £28,800 per year), with the option of a full-time contract for the right candidate.

The Care Leaders is a dynamic startup offering live and on-demand training for professionals in children's services, including teachers, social workers, and foster carers. Our training equips professionals with practical tools to support young people who have experienced adversity.


Job Description:

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies that drive growth for our e-learning platform The Care Leaders Online (TCLO). You will develop sales processes, engage clients, and provide valuable insights to enhance our offerings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to drive growth.
  • Identify and engage potential customers, including schools and social services.
  • Present and demonstrate the benefits of our training platform.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Establish customer relationship management systems and optimise processes.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs and market trends to inform product development.


Essencial Attributes:

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the education or training sector.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Experience in developing business processes and customer relationship systems.
  • Passion for improving children's services through training and education.
