is responsible for producing the Project Café report series featuring primary research on the branded coffee chain market and conducts the annual Great British Coffee Shop Survey featuring the responses of over 40,000 consumers across the UK.
Role DescriptionnThe Coffee Research Manager role is critical within the World Coffee Portal research team. Reporting to the Head of Research, you will have primary responsibility for ensuring the team meets its project requirements and deadlines, conducting primary research to the highest standard, consistent across all markets and publications.
Key Responsibilitiesn· Conduct research in accordance with World Coffee Portal’s proprietary research frameworkn· Perform coffee market research across multiple global geographiesn· Train and lead the internal research team according to best practice methodologiesn· Represent Allegra World Coffee Portal in person at global industry events and conferencesn· Contribute to monthly online client seminars presenting World Coffee Portal datan· Build first rate knowledge of key coffee markets, brand profiles and consumer trendsn· Conduct in-depth interviews and distribute surveys with key industry playersn· Build the Allegra contacts database by developing a wide breadth of industry contactsn· Support the team in delivering client requirements for bespoke projects
Role Requirementsn· Minimum two years’ experience working within market researchn· Passion for coffee and detailed knowledge of the wider industryn· Confidence to assume a position of key responsibility with measurable KPI’sn· Experience managing a team of researchers coordinating on multiple projectsn· Strong time management skills and capable of working to tight deadlinesn· Excellent verbal and written communication skillsn· Expert in Microsoft Excel & PowerPointn· University degree or aboven· Must be based in London, UK

Contract:
Permanent, full-timenSalary: £42,000 OTE (£38,000 per year + £4,000 bonus potential based on performance)nWorking Hours: 40 hours per weeknLocation: Hybrid, with head office in Camden, London (2 days in office, 3 days working from home)

Application ProcessnFollowing a suitability and eligibility screening call from Allegra’s Group Head of People, candidates will undertake a remote 90-minute online assessment focused on core research skills and attention to detail. Successful candidates in this phase will then be invited to Allegra HQ in Camden for an interview with Allegra World Coffee Portal’s Head of Research.
