Despatch Clerk

The successful Despatch Clerk will be responsible for operating an efficient site front office.
Main duties will include:
Plan, co-ordinate and manage all Office & Despatch activities in a safe, efficient and effective mannernAssist site management in the implementation of H&S, Environmental, Quality aspects of the operation to meet and/or exceed legislative requirements and Company standards.nActively support the development and improvements in the Sustainability performance of sites.nAssist management in generating information that needs to be reported to business as required, weekly/monthlynWithin Despatch & administration duties ensure the control of finished stocks, packaging, raw materials etcnEnsure that Company Purchasing procedures are followed at all times.nLiaise regularly with other parts of the business to ensure we maximise site performance. This to include commercial, supply chain, logistics etcnUndertake any relevant training as requested
Ideally, I am looking for a flexible self-starter, with good literacy, numeracy & computer skills, experience in despatch or administration in a fast-moving building materials office environment would be ideal, but not essential. The role requires a high level of contact with internal/external departments and key customers therefore the job holder needs to have excellent communication skills and be able to develop good working relationships
Requirements for the role:
Office & administration experience.nGood Computer skills in Excel & Word.nKnowledge building products businessnOwn transport to location of the companynExcellent telephone manner
