Howdens is recruiting a Quality Assistant to join our team at Howdens Work Surfaces Holme on Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire. As a Quality Assistant, you will support customer and supplier problem resolution with our manufacturing processes and help engineer quality improvements.
Pay rate and shift pattern:
- £32,494.80 per annum + Shift Allowance £4571.32 + monthly production bonus
- Night shift – Monday to Thursday, 10pm-8am

What will you be doing as the Quality Assistant:
- Primarily supporting the Quality Inspector or Co-ordinator providing them with data and results from product or process measurements
- Supporting in resolving issues within hard surfaces manufacturing processes
- Supporting goods in supplier assessment and resolving customer complaints
- Assisting in supporting site calibration and document control
What do you need to qualify for the Quality Assistant:
- Previous experience in a quality environment
- NVQ level 2 in manufacturing would be an advantage but is not essential
- Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
- A FLT licence would be an advantage
- Self-motivated and have a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
