ROLE: Court of Protection Paralegal

SALARY: £30k

LOCATION: London Bridge or Streatham


THE ROLE

As a Paralegal you will work with a team in the Court of Protection department, working in a team of Partners, Solicitors, and paralegals.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Your role will include the following, but additional tasks may be added as appropriate for the role:


  • assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for clients.
  • assist where requested the provision of legal advice to clients, under supervision. Take notes in client meetings.
  • clients at hospitals, care homes and in their home.
  • regular payments to clients and keep accurate schedules of these payments. Also forecast forward spending and creating of budgets.
  • to day contact with clients and their individual lifestyle requirements.
  • professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties
  • and supervise tasks where appropriate.
  • as a part of a team under the supervision of a Partner of the firm.
  • also receive cases from several Partners and solicitors within the team.
  • an efficient and friendly service to our clients.
  • plain English letters, witness statements, court applications and other documents as required.
  • client care standards as set out in the firm’s terms of business and office manual.
  • to develop your legal ability

QUALIFICATIONS

  • in Law and previous experience of working in a Court of Protection role.
  • for LPC or already have an LPC or SQE1.
