Our client, a leading company in the controls and automation sector, is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Runcorn, Cheshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly driven individual with a strong track record within the industrial automation sector. The role involves providing first-class support while being the technical focal point from handover by sales to project closure.
Key Responsibilities:
Initiating and planning projects, including system design and SIL classification
Designing in detail and managing the safety lifecycle
Configuring systems and providing technical specifications to procurement
Supervising suppliers and conducting internal testing
Leading Factory Acceptance Tests, site installation, and commissioning
Conducting Site Acceptance Tests and ensuring customer acceptance
Monitoring the quality of work and formalising project closures
Job Requirements:
Experience in a similar role within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial automation environment
Minimum HNC qualification in an engineering or process-related subject
Understanding of ISO 9001 and the Health and Safety at Work Act
Full UK driving licence
Highly motivated and flexible, willing to work at various locations across the UK and offshore
Values respect, collaboration, and integrity
Ability to work independently and as part of a structured team
Confident communicator with a professional manner
Applicants with offshore certificates are highly desired, though full training can be provided.
