We specialise in the design and manufacture of livestock transportation vehicles, water treatment equipment and premium agricultural products. We also undertake bespoke fabrication projects across a wide range of sectors.
York based design office and manufacturing workshops which house modern fabrication equipment including CNC laser and plasma profilers; CNC press brake; lathes and milling equipment - programable remotely and locally; robotic welding capabilities; pulse synergic welders; and a large commercial paint booth.
We also carry out all our own electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic design, assembly and installation. We work with aluminium; plastics; and numerous types of steel and stainless steels daily to fabricate components & assemblies for the products and services we offer.
We have a history for supplying quality products followed by the customer service to back them up in all areas in which we operate.
The Role:
Project managing some of our bespoke products from design through to completion.
Ensuring the computer models are correct; processing component parts for manufacture; and issuing the correct drawings to the assembly floor.
Overseeing our library of standard parts.
Keeping manufacturing drawing and models up to date; ensuring that parts are output for manufacturing in a timely manner to keep stock at appropriate levels. Responsibility for these parts will rest with you for design and continuous improvement through manufacture and stocking, to installation and usage in the final product - so you will get to see your parts on the screen, in reality and in use.
The role is fluid and will expand and adapt around you taking into account your skills, interests and areas where aptitude and flair is demonstrated.
Requirements:
Experience using 3D CAD – Autodesk Inventor or similar.
Willingness to learn new skills.
Previous design knowledge – from employment/placement/work experience - will be beneficial. Along with an ability to research beyond this existing knowledge.
A candidate who will contribute where they see the opportunity and will speak up if they see areas for improvement within our organisation.
Driven to take ownership of their involvement in a project and will be excited to see products through from design stage to customer handover.
We don't expect you the have experience with all of the different materials, processes and areas of design that we are involved in. We are looking for people that will take the chance to gain knowledge and experience when the opportunity arises. An active interest in any of: the agricultural sector; commercial vehicles; manufacturing industry; or just a curiousness into how things work would prove useful in the role
