Key responsibilities Head of People and Talent:
* Leading and managing the People & Talent team, with an emphasis on talent acquisition, specialist recruitment and operational tasks for all stages of the employee lifecycle, demonstrating the importance and strategic impact that this team brings as a proactive and visible support network.
* Building key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, defining requirements to attract talent, proactively putting people first and promoting the organisation as an employer of choice.
* Developing and implementing resourcing, talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
* Sourcing and embedding proficient processes and systems including a fit for purpose HR Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), automating transactional activities, streamlining standard processes and improving employee engagement.
Personal specification Head of People and Talent:
* Level 2/GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
* Degree and/or professional qualification or equivalent experience.
* Qualified to CIPD Level 5 and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
* Qualified and accredited in a range of psychometric tools would be advantageous.
* Demonstrable knowledge of current Employment Law, upcoming changes and case law.
* Demonstrable knowledge of developing and implementing relevant strategies, policies, processes and procedures.
* Understanding of recruiting in the education sector, including regulatory requirements and workforce challenges. Understanding of funding allocation within the education sector would be an advantage. Understanding of safeguarding, particularly within the educational sector
