A thriving and established business based in Camberley is looking to appoint a Head of Finance (& Operations) who will take ownerships of shaping the strategic direction and financial reporting for the business. Reporting into the MD, you will be providing analysis on each P & L while managing the finance team.
Head of Finance - About The Role
This position will be all encompassing given the fact that you will be working within the SME business community. You will be supporting and directly reporting to the Managing Director (major shareholder), providing robust financial analysis, including the business planning aligning with the business focus and direction. This position will be responsible for Finance, Operations and HR.
You will be joining this business at an exciting time where business has grown year on year with a business plan to focus on new emerging markets for their industry. This position will be taking over a current incumbent who will be leaving at the beginning of the summer. The position will be a full-time role and there will be plenty of areas in which this role can be shaped into something very different from the current landscape.
Managing a team of 3 people you will act as a mentor and an escalation point for the day-to-day queries that arise.
Responsibilities will include:
* Producing the Monthly Management Accounts
* Submission of the monthly payroll data
* Producing the draft annual statutory accounts plus supplying all relevant supporting documentation to the accountants
* Submitting the Quarterly VAT returns
The successful Head of Finance will have/be:
* Qualified accountant
* Experience of working within an SME environment
* Ideally experience of working within a similar position, incorporating finance, HR & Operations
* Live within commutable distance of Camberley
* Experience of working with Sage and/or Xero
