As a Data Manager your main responsibilities would be to:

  • Analyse data, draw evidence-based conclusions and make recommendations on next steps to support decision making by senior leaders.
  • Perform a range of reporting and analysis functions to deliver robust planning assumptions and reports from a range of data sources.
  • Build and maintain relationship with stakeholders and internal colleagues to bring about new ways and approaches to customer service.
  • Understand risks, issues, and opportunities to enable effective decisions at various levels within the business.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to improve financial planning processes and systems.
  • Be confident engaging with people of all grades and roles.
  • The role is ideal for someone who thrives working in a fast-paced and challenging environment, often working to tight deadlines to deliver a range of business priorities.

Essential:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Advanced in Excel with the ability to use Excel to its fullest potential to analyse and visualise data.
  • Ability to translate and present analysis in a variety of different formats to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver high quality outputs with an attention to detail, being able to spot trends in data and identify dependencies across the planning process.
  • Experience of business planning and analysis within a large organisation.
  • Experienced in building and maintaining successful stakeholder relationships.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate and translate financial data into meaningful stories for non-finance stakeholders.
  • An ability to adapt to change and positively lead others through change and ambiguity.
  • High level of work organisation, self-motivation, drive for performance and improvement, and flexibility in approach and attitude.
  • High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and pursuit for absolute accuracy.

Desirable:

  • Public Sector experience.
