Summary
Join Easy Steps Limited as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice and receive comprehensive training to support children with Autism. You will help them acquire essential skills and maximize their independence in areas such as communication, academics, socialization, and daily living skills. This role offers an excellent entry point into Early Years Special Education.
Work
As an apprentice, you'll gain practical experience working alongside experienced staff in a high-energy educational environment for children aged 3-11 with Autism. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Supporting classroom activities and interventions based on evidence-based practices.
  • Establishing supportive relationships with children, serving as a role model.
  • Adapting learning resources and strategies to ensure access to the full curriculum.
  • Motivating and challenging pupils, promoting self-esteem.
  • Attending to personal, social, health, and hygiene needs of pupils.
  • Collaborating with parents and teachers to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Recording and monitoring pupils' progress and providing feedback.
