Remarkable Jobs are delighted to assist a client of ours, with the recruitment of a Maintenance Assistant. The successful candidate will assist the Facilities Management Team with daily operations, repairs, compliance testing and maintaining records etc.
‘Maintenance Assistant’ Key Responsibilities:
Lead on repair jobs (e.g., door handles, lights) and compliance testing, maintaining records.
Support general systems of work: permission to work procedures, key management, contractor service records.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors regarding security access, site inductions, COVID testing, and NDAs, minimising production disruptions.
Clear snow/grit site using on-site equipment.
Support daily tasks linked to site and production.
Assist the Stage Manager with duties and administrative tasks.
Collect supplies from offsite locations.
Familiarise with emergency/fire procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment, understanding safety rules and reporting hazards.
Learn studio etiquette and interactions with departments and production crew.
Provide good customer service, handling queries/requests from production crew and forwarding important information.
Assist with client recces and onsite meetings.
Order and deliver refreshments for client recces/meetings.
Shadow senior team members, maintaining high customer service levels.
Update the weekly studio calendar and schedule.
Perform administrative tasks (photocopying, printing, laminating).
Perform other duties as requested by the management team.
‘Maintenance Assistant’ Key Skills:
Valid UK driving license and able to commute.
IT literate with basic Microsoft operating systems skills.
Experience in building facilities, working with contractors and suppliers.
Desired but not essential: Skills/training in basic building maintenance (painting, electrical, plastering).
Friendly, polite, and willing to help onsite clients.
Confident communicator with all studio visitors, providing and receiving information, instruction, and advice.
Ability to work under pressure and meet changing deadlines.
Willingness to help in all departments and enthusiasm to learn.
Self-motivated and organised
