A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join the Pastry Kitchen team at one of London's finest five star hotels as their Sous Pastry Chef

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK

Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesnAs a Sous Chef you will ensure that the highest standard of food preparation and service is maintained at all times and to ensure that the Pastry Kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standard required by the Hotel.nMain responsibilities of the Sous Chef include, but are not limited to:nAssist the Executive Pastry Chef and the Senior Sous Chef in being responsible for the management of all food production to clients within the hotel.nSupervise in the preparation of regular food items, daily specialities and any other special functions. (i.e. Banqueting).nCheck all food deliveries for quality and maintain close liaison with Purchasing Department.nEncourage and support members of the brigade by motivating them and whenever possible, personally show example and follow up the progress made.nComplete on a weekly basis, departmental timesheets, ensuring that all absenteeism, sickness, holidays, and overtime are properly recorded and authorised by the Executive Chef.nContribute to maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
