Locum Band 6 Physiotherapist - Community Hospital
* £28 per hour
* 3 days per week
* 1 month contract (potential to extend thereafter)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Locum Band 6 Physiotherapist to join a community hospital team in Dartford. The successful candidate will provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients within the community hospital setting, focusing on rehabilitation, recovery, and promoting independence. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
Patient Assessment
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and overall health status.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
* Utilize standardized assessment tools and clinical observations.
Therapeutic Interventions
* Implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, and functional independence.
* Provide manual therapy, exercise programs, electrotherapy, and other relevant treatments.
* Educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies to manage their conditions and prevent further issues.
Collaborative Care
* Work closely with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning sessions.
* Coordinate patient care plans and ensure seamless transitions between hospital and home or other care settings.
Documentation and Reporting
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
* Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards for documentation.
* Provide detailed reports and updates to the multidisciplinary team as required.
Professional Development
* Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices and relevant research.
* Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) activities and reflective practice.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff and physiotherapy students as appropriate.
* Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical setting.
* Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
* Previous experience in a community hospital or similar setting.
* Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based approaches in physiotherapy.
* Training in specific therapeutic techniques (e.g., manual therapy, exercise prescription)
