We are looking for a suitable individual to join our Physiotherapy team at Darent Valley hospital
The role is to work alongside qualified Physiotherapists providing care to patients within the Emergency Department and Acute Admission wards.
The role of the Physiotherapy assistant is to support qualified staff provide acute assessments within the acute setting to help facilitate community care (either rehabilitation units or return home) and provision of equipment to support this. Additional roles include advice on appropriate exercises (passive or active), walking, other functional tasks and issuing equipment.
Training will be provided so that normal values (of heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen) are understood. Rehabilitation will be prescribed by a physiotherapist.
