Goodman Masson have exclusively partnered with Newground Together. We are looking for an Employment Advisor (FTC) to join Newground Together in the Employment and Skill Lancashire team, in this exciting new opportunity. As an Employment Advisor (FTC) you will be supporting people who are out of work, inactive in the job market and not searching for employment opportunities. You will be addressing barriers they currently have, preventing them from accessing or securing paid employment. Whether that be training and development, or personal barriers linked to their current circumstances.

Outline of Key responsibilities for the Employment Advisor (FTC)…
To assist in the delivery of new and existing projects that progress the organisational objectives in relation to employment.
Work to and achieve set targets, i.e. numbers on non-regulated activity and job outcomes.
To determine and implement effective approaches which will help our clients develop confidence, overcome barriers and achieve successful transitions.
Engage with local business and employers to understand business needs and promote our client base and services.
To actively recruit clients into the employability projects, retain their engagement and encourage them to participate in workshops, job clubs and 1:1's to raise aspirations, challenge them emotionally enabling them to reach their full potential.
Identify and harness local, regional and national initiatives that deliver new opportunities access employment/training opportunities. Also, you will deliver group training to develop participants towards employability
Develop working relationships with other professionals working in the field of employment, welfare and training sector.We are looking for someone who has…
Full UK drivers licence.
Relevant experience or relevant qualifications e.g. IAG level 2 or Coaching or Mentoring qualification
Experience of working with clients aged 16+ years, and supporting them to gain employment or training OR experience of working with clients to help them with progression in their life
Evidence of effectively working with clients who face multiple barriers preventing them from engaging and participating, on short and long term interventions
Have a proven record in developing contacts and engaging with local business to source employment opportunities
Experience of problem solving and working on cases until completion and maintaining and managing a varied caseload
Ability to uses your own initiative and meet performance targets
Experience of negotiating and advocating successfully one to one, by telephone and in writing, & face to faceIn return, we are offering the successful candidate in the Employment Advisor (FTC) role:
Starting salary: £26,862 per annum
Annual salary increment increases
27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays

This role is located at our Colne site, BB8 0LG.
You will be working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Working arrangements are flexible in line with our Smart working culture
