The Company. A consultancy who are overseeing / managing / planning a major new development in Luton. Current packages involve, demolition, site clearance, ground remediation, deep drainage and groundworks. 15 month’s work initially. Package values generally range from £0.5m to £6m. Excellent potential to grow with a company with a good pipeline of future work.
Project Manager role.
You will be operating from a consultancy perspective, actively guiding and advising both the client and the contractor. The role will require you to be active and on-site recording and noting operations and sequencing them into the overall programmes, factoring in justifiable and non-allowable delays and variations. A strong technical knowledge and understanding of the various processes is essential.
The Project.
Commercial scheme involving extensive Groundworks and Drainage. Further packages will involve infrastructure for associated extensive hard and soft landscaping, then substantial RC frame and steel frame installations.
Project Manager.
* Broad experience in supervision of Groundworks, Drainage, RC and steel structures.
* 8-10 years’ relevant construction site related experience.
* Good knowledge of processes and procedures and how to put them into practice.
* Good with software programmes and planning.
* Must be good at working closely with the end client and contractor.
* Strong skills in chairing meetings with client and contractors.
* Good knowledge of Groundworks, RC Frames, Steel Frames & Shell & Core Packages.
* Commercial appreciation.
* Proficient with Excel, Blue Beam, Microsoft Office & IT.
* Knowledgeable in current HSE requirements and practices.
* Keen to be involved and capable of looking / planning ahead.
