Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Interpham Consulting is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our Information Technology function. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful end-to-end management of key transformational IT projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage multiple projects concurrently from initiation to closure, ensuring successful transition to support.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, including project team structure and resource assignment, implementation, testing, and training plans.
  3. Own all project risk, including time, budget, and scope, and associated plans to contain and/or mitigate risk.
  4. Ensure project quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met, and deployed solutions deliver targeted business value.
  5. Monitor and control resources, revenue, and capital costs against the project budget and manage expectations of all project stakeholders.
  6. Take full end-to-end responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of IT projects.
  7. Select the appropriate methods, tools, and artefacts within the Raytheon IT IPDS delivery methodology, ensuring effective project control, change control, risk management, and testing processes are maintained in line with agreed governance.
  8. Identify project resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
  9. Liaise and communicate effectively with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  10. Forecast resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  11. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members, identifying and resolving issues and conflicts where they arise.
  12. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using Microsoft Project, and track and report project milestones and deliverables.
  13. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop and deliver associated contingency plans.
  14. Ensure all projects are delivered to governance, compliance, and security requirements.
  15. Report and escalate project risks to management and governance function as needed.
Requirements:
  1. Prior experience in Project Management within defence or highly regulated technical industry, ideally within global environments and/or global matrix organisations.
  2. Demonstrable project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and communication.
  3. Capable of leading technology projects.
  4. Experience of full lifecycle management of IT Programmes and Projects from inception to delivery, especially solution identification, design, pricing, risk management, and early project definition before transition into service operation.
  5. Experience of the critical project to service transition phase and associated early lifecycle support.
  6. Proven experience of Project Management Best Practice.
  7. Experience of operating effectively under the governance of a PMO structure.
  8. Solid experience of delivering complex technical projects across the IT domain.
  9. Proficiency in MS Project, Team Foundation, or other robust scheduling/schedule presentation tools.
  10. Proficient in the use of all MS Office tools.
  11. Relevant years' experience in project management.
  12. PRINCE 2 and/or PMP certifications.
  13. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.
  14. Ideally experienced with process quality methodology and ITIL.
