The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or production, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for sustainability. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our recycling facilities, meeting production targets, and maintaining the highest quality standards.
Production Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision
  - Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of production workers to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
  - Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
  - Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and any changes in processes or procedures.
Production Management
  - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the recycling production facility, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  - Monitor production processes to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
  - Implement and maintain production schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines and demand.
Quality Control
  - Ensure all products meet or exceed company and industry quality standards.
  - Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies.
  - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues.
Safety and Compliance
  - Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  - Conduct safety training and ensure all team members are aware of and follow safety guidelines.
  - Maintain compliance with all relevant environmental and occupational health regulations.
Process Improvement
  - Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  - Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  - Monitor and analyse production data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting and Documentation
  - Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, records, and documentation.
  - Provide regular updates to senior management on production performance, challenges, and achievements.
  - Assist in budget preparation and cost control efforts.
Qualifications/Experience as a Production Supervisor
- Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the recycling industry however not essential
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Forklift license or experience would be preferred but not essential
