Position: Stock Controller
Location: Beckton, London
Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Role Overview: As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our inventory management system. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate stock levels, efficient stock movements, and timely reconciliation of inventory records. This role is crucial in supporting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using our designated software system.
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
Coordinate stock movements, including receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Implement and maintain efficient stock control procedures to minimise wastage and stock obsolescence.
Work closely with purchasing and warehouse teams to forecast stock needs and optimise stock holding.
Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in relation to stock handling and storage.
Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and performance metrics as required.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a logistics or distribution environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
Experience in implementing and improving stock management procedures is desirable.
Forklift license or willingness to obtain one is advantageous.Benefits:
