Based: Birmingham, Wisbech or Glasgow Salary: £60,000 per annum Hours: Full Time Anglia Community Eye Services (ACES), part of the Optical Express Group, is seeking an experienced and accredited Senior Clinical Coder and Data Quality professional to lead our coding and reporting functions. This is a senior position responsible for managing clinical coding, data reporting, NHS submissions, and financial accuracy across all ACES services. You’ll oversee reporting and data flows, support coding for NHS and PMI billing, and ensure the highest levels of data integrity and compliance. Working closely with the Director of Care and Quality and Group Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in aligning clinical activity, reporting, and revenue accuracy. Key responsibilities include Leading the Clinical Coding and Data Quality Team (2–3 direct reports) Managing all coding activity and NHS data submissions Overseeing NHS finance and data reporting Ensuring billing accuracy and reconciliation with NHS and PMI activity Collaborating with Contracts and Finance teams on data and income reporting What we’re looking for: Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) with senior leadership experience Strong understanding of NHS reporting and data flows Experience in SUS, SLAM, RTT, WLMDS, PLCM, and billing reconciliation Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills What we offer: £60,000 per annum Option of being based at our offices in either Glasgow, Birmingham or Wisbech. 33 days annual leave (rising with service) Pension and private healthcare options Ongoing CPD and professional development Join ACES and help shape the accuracy, integrity, and quality of our clinical data - supporting excellence in patient care and performance reporting across the Optical Express Group.
