As the Finance Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting & forecasting, maintaining financial records and implementing financial controls.
Alongside the Director of Finance and Venue Manager you will be involved in the production of the hotel annual budget as well as producing the bi-weekly forecast as and when necessary. This role has three direct reports.
The role of Finance Manager is a full-time role that involves working on site, Monday to Friday during office hours.
Your Skills and Experience:
• You will have experience in a financial role involving purchase ledger, preferably within the hospitality/events industry
• Knowledge and understanding of payroll/productivity for the events industry, and of wet and dry stocks.
• Proficiency in using financial management software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and develop junior members of the team
• An AAT level 4 qualification or similar
