We’re looking for a Student Recruitment Manager to grow Escape Studios. We want someone who is hands-on and willing to attend events to engage with prospective students. You’ll help develop our recruitment strategy and find new ways to connect with our audiences. You’ll lead UCAS events, schools' outreach and recruitment fairs, planning and attending events in person and online. We’re proud to be a specialist provider and you’ll seek out the best opportunities for us to connect with prospective students interested in Animation, Games, Visual Effects, Concept Art and Motion Graphics.  


You’ll manage a team of two (Senior Student Recruitment Officer and Student Recruitment Officer) and work closely with our Marketing, Admissions, Access and Participation and Academic Teams. We’re seeking someone who is organised and able to manage a hybrid team. You’ll be a confident communicator who can proactively speak about Escape Studios and engage with different audiences including students, teachers, parents and agents.  

This is an exciting time to join us as we expand into international student recruitment and grow our course portfolio. You’ll be involved in international student recruitment and some occasional travel aboard may be required. You should feel comfortable working in a target driven environment and using data to assess your work and make decisions. Most of all, we’re looking for someone who can make a difference at Escape Studios. We’re ambitious and you’ll be a core part of our team, driving growth in student numbers across all programmes (undergraduate, postgraduate and short courses).  


Responsibilities  

  • Managing the outreach schedule, booking and attending student recruitment fairs  
  • Leading the student recruitment team and managing Student Ambassadors 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with our top applicant schools 
  • Ownership of the student recruitment budget and delivering value for money 
  • Delivering presentations, workshops and events to attract prospective students 
  • Maintaining records in our CRM system and tracking the performance of outreach activity  
  • Collaborating with different teams/departments to create engaging content and events 
  • Supporting on the development of our Student Recruitment strategy, finding new ways to engage with prospective students 
  • Working with international agents and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders 
  • Setting targets, tracking performance and creating reports to showcase the work of the Student Recruitment Team 


Competencies  

Essential:  

  • 4+ years in a recruitment, sales or management role  
  • Confident communicator with experience of delivering presentations to groups 
  • Ability to generate reports, monitor data and use insights to inform plans  
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to successfully multitask  
  • A positive attitude and flexibility in your approach to work 
  • Line management experience to support and develop our student recruitment team 
  • Adaptability and willingness to engage with projects outside of your day-to-day remit  
  • Willingness to work some unsociable hours, for example attending 6-8 Saturday events a year and travel in the UK on a regular basis.  

Desirable skills and qualifications:  

  • Hold a degree or equivalent level qualification 
  • Interest in film/game/tv/creative industries  
  • Experience in higher or further education  
  • Experience of using a CRM system such as Salesforce 
  • International recruitment or marketing experience
