You would be working for a very reputable school who specialises in teaching younger individuals diagnosed autism. This school works alongside expert teachers who focus on creating new learning tactics personalised to better suit each pupil's unique qualities. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to help transition young individuals to lead a fulfilling and rewarding adult life.
This school is situated in only a 6 minute cycle away from the nearest station, making transport to and from work very accessible. Embark on this journey to help create a happy and vibrant community where autistic children and young people flourish and Teacher Assistant's are rewarded.
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for safeguarding pupils at all times
Value and use differences and diversities in learning support.
Uphold public trust as professional members of staff and approach the role with positivity, creativity, problem solving and a communicative and collaborative mindset which first and foremost supports quality learning.
Be self-reflective and professionally curious at all times.Personal Attributes:
Willing to work with autistic children or young adults with learning disabilities
To have the physical and emotional resilience to work with autistic children/YP who may have behaviours that challenge
Good appreciation of health and safety in the workplace, data protection principles and equal opportunities.Not only will you help pupil's to learn and grow but you will also be able to gain the benefits the school would offer you.
