Job Title : Solutions Architect (Azure)
Location : Remote (UK-based, with willingness to go to Customer sites when needed)
Role Overview :
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Solutions Architect to join our Clients growing team. As a Solutions Architect, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing tailored technical solutions for their clients, primarily focusing on Azure-based systems. This role involves collaborating closely with external clients, vendors, and internal teams to drive digital transformation and deliver business value through the adoption of cloud technologies.
You will lead the architecture and design process, from pre-sales through to implementation, while ensuring that solutions align with clients' business needs and strategic goals. Your expertise in Azure, cloud-native applications, and DevOps will be crucial in this role as you guide clients on their cloud journeys and help them leverage the full potential of Azure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and deliver end-to-end solutions built on Azure, ensuring they meet business objectives, scalability, security, and performance requirements.
- Engage with clients to understand their business requirements and transform them into technical solutions, developing IT strategies and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Service Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Professional Services) to deliver customer success through well-designed, high-quality solutions.
- Lead the preparation of technical proposals, RFP responses, Statements of Work (SoWs), and business cases, with an emphasis on pricing, risk mitigation, and delivery timelines.
- Conduct workshops, strategy sessions, and design reviews to promote Azure best practices, cloud adoption, and DevOps methodologies.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, offering expert guidance on architecture and helping shape their digital transformation.
- Provide leadership in driving continuous improvement within their cloud practices, sharing insights and fostering knowledge across teams.
- Actively contribute to pre-sales activities, showcasing the capabilities of Azure to potential clients and demonstrating the value proposition.
- Ensure effective integration of Azure technologies with clients' existing systems, optimising operational efficiency and innovation.
Required Experience & Skills :
- Extensive experience in architecting and delivering cloud-based solutions, specifically on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong expertise in Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying cloud-native applications and implementing DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps).
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and ARM templates, as well as monitoring solutions like Azure Monitor.
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, networking, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Azure Solutions Architect certification (preferably Expert level) is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with experience working closely with C-level stakeholders.
- Knowledge of IT frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and cloud governance best practices (e.g., Azure Well-Architected Framework).
Desired Experience :
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and knowledge of ITIL, PMP, or Prince2 certifications.
- Familiarity with managing partner relationships and commercialising solutions in consultancy engagements.
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
