Our client is a reputable independent investment firm which invests into digital infrastructure, growth equity, and technology, and has more than 3bn AUM. After raising many successful funds, they have recently raised a brand new Technology fund, which will focus on cybersecurity, AI, IoT, and software companies in Europe and the U.S.
They have recently started to build out a team in Europe and are now looking to make their first VP hire into their London office to work across all aspects of the investment lifecycle, providing an unique opportunity to further shape the strategy and culture of the fund and team, as well as having a clear path to progress long term. This role would suit a junior or mid-level VP coming from another fund or investment bank.
THE ROLE
- Taking a key role in transaction execution across the Technology market within Europe and the US
- Managing deal teams, including external advisers, through investment execution
- Managing asset management activities for portfolio companies
- Supporting senior team members with investment sourcing
- Guiding and developing junior team members
THE CANDIDATE
- Excellent academic record from a leading university
- 6+ years’ experience in a tech fund or a tech-focused M&A role within a top-tier investment bank
- Strong knowledge within some or all of the following sectors: cybersecurity, AI, IoT, and software
- Strong numerical, interpersonal / communications skills and attention to detail
- Proven initiative, judgement and strong work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to oversee financial models, execute M&A and oversee investments
- Fluency in European languages well regarded
