Fabrication & Welding AssessorFull-Time | Permanent | 37 hours per week Salary: From £30,000 per annum + up to £5,000 market supplement We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabrication & Welding Assessor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced industry professionals who are looking to move into an assessment role and support apprentices in achieving their qualifications. Industry candidates are very welcome - assessment experience is not essential, as full support and training will be provided. The RoleAs a Fabrication & Welding Assessor, you will work closely with the Programme Leader to support Fabrication & Welding apprentices through their NVQ Level 3 qualification. You will play a key role in ensuring apprentices receive high-quality assessment, feedback, and guidance to help them become fully qualified. Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and support Fabrication & Welding apprentices working towards NVQ Level 3 Liaise regularly with employers to monitor apprentice progress and workplace performance Carry out workplace visits to assess competence and review evidence Quality check apprentice portfolios to ensure they meet awarding body standards Provide clear, constructive feedback to keep learners on track to achieve their qualification Maintain accurate and up-to-date assessment records Work collaboratively with the Programme Leader and wider team to ensure high-quality delivery About YouEssential Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding (or equivalent) Strong industry experience within fabrication and welding Passion for developing others and supporting learner success Desirable (but not essential): Assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA, A1, CAVA) Experience assessing or mentoring apprentices Salary and BenefitsSalary from £30,000 , plus potential £5,000 market supplement 30 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays Additional Christmas closure days Health care payment plans Staff discount schemes Ongoing professional development and training A supportive working environment with many more benefits If you are an experienced Fabrication & Welding professional looking for a rewarding role where you can pass on your skills and support the next generation of apprentices, we would love to hear from you.
