Company Overview:nJoin our dynamic on-site team and contribute to the success of one of the world's leading logistics companies. We are seeking an experienced Site Technician / Electrician to play a crucial role in our DHL Heathrow Maintenance Support Team at Heathrow Airport.nAs a team member, you'll be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the optimal performance of our cutting-edge systems.nKey Responsibilities:nAs a Site Technician/Multi-skilled engineer, your responsibilities will include:nPerforming electrical and mechanical tasks, including different types of conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes and belts, in planned and reactive environments.nIdentifying problematic faults, rectifying issues, and monitoring system performance continuously.nConducting systems analysis on various systems, including S7 PLC, Profibus and communication networks.nCollaborating with the maintenance team to complete PPM schedules within agreed timescales.nExecuting mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance tasks in a busy automated logistics hub.nProviding support for project and facility management work.nArticulating detailed reports and supporting existing on-site colleagues.nMonitoring and implementing continuous improvement measures in response to customer requests.nCollaborating within a team and being comfortable working independently. Ensuring customer operational continuity by preventing equipment failures.nBe able to fault find electrically and read electrical drawingsnAdherence to H&S & knowledge of LOTO
Qualifications
Other desirable skillsnKnowledge of AC & DC DrivesnKnowledge of Profibus and ASi-busnKnowledge of SCADA would be advantageousnKnowledge of conducting sorter Health Checks would be advantageousnExperience with pneumatics would be advantageousnKnowledge and use of radio communicationnTo thrive in this role, you should possess:nHNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Mechanical Engineering with exceptional electrical skills will also be considerednProven experience in a similar position, preferably within sortation and distribution or a fast-moving production, Process, manufacturing or FMCG environment with a minimum of 5 year work experience or must have the necessary work experience to applynExcellent communication skills both, spoken and writtennProficient in IT, especially with Microsoft Office applications.nUnderstanding of Emergency Stop and Safety Supervision Systems.nAble to work at heightnDriving license would be desirablenAble to provide a 5 year clear reference or work history (Airside Pass)nAn immediate start would be beneficial
