As a team member, you'll be in charge of maintaining and optimizing the performance of our state-of-the-art systems.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Site Technician/Multi-skilled engineer, your duties will involve:

  • Completing electrical and mechanical tasks, such as various types of conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and belts, in planned and reactive settings.
  • Identifying faults, resolving issues, and continuously monitoring system performance.
  • Performing systems analysis on different systems, including S7 PLC, Profibus, and communication networks.
  • Teamwork with the maintenance crew to carry out PPM schedules within specified timelines.
  • Handling mechanical and electrical upkeep and repairs in a bustling automated logistics center.
  • Supporting project and facility management activities.
  • Providing detailed reports and assisting fellow on-site colleagues.
  • Introducing continuous improvement measures based on customer feedback.
  • Collaborating within a team while also being capable of independent work. Ensuring operational continuity for customers by averting equipment breakdowns.
  • Proficiency in electrical fault finding and interpretation of electrical diagrams.
  • Adherence to Health & Safety regulations and knowledge of LOTO.

Qualifications

Additional relevant skills:

  • Familiarity with AC & DC Drives.
  • Knowledge of Profibus and ASi-bus.
  • Experience with SCADA would be beneficial.
  • Capability in conducting sorter Health Checks would be advantageous.
  • Experience with pneumatics is a plus.
  • Competence in radio communication.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Consideration will also be given to Mechanical Engineering applicants with exceptional electrical skills.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within sortation and distribution or fast-moving production, manufacturing, process, or FMCG environments, with at least 5 years of experience; or relevant experience to qualify.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Understanding of Emergency Stop and Safety Supervision Systems.
  • Capability to work at heights.
  • Possession of a driver's license would be advantageous.
  • Ability to provide a 5-year clear work history or reference (Airside Pass).
  • An immediate start would be advantageous.

  • Working a popular 12-hour shift pattern (4 on and 4 off - days and nights).
  • Operating in a 24/7 environment, including bank holidays.
