Overview
Atkins Search are working with a national civil engineering contractor to recruit a Graduate Quantity Surveyor working in their office in Lincolnshire.
Client
Our client has been in operation for over 40 years and have become a very successful business in this time, working on precast concrete projects across the UK.
Role
Working as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor you will be reporting directly into a Senior Quantity Surveyor, learning from them as you develop your career as a part of a supportive business.
You will be working as a part of the wider commercial team, collaborating with a range of people to mitigate/minimise risk to the company and maximise profits through effective contract negotiation and commercial management.
Responsibilities
* Administration of subcontracts including issue of required notices under the contracts.
* Negotiation and resolution of contractual disputes.
* Cash flow forecasting.
* Attending precontract meetings.
* Preparation of payments for subcontractors.
* Assessing and managing credit risks.
Person
* Commercially aware individual.
* Hold a valid driving license.
* Able to work on own initiative and as a part of the wider commercial team.
* MS Office literate.
* Experience of administration of contracts and subcontracts.
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or Similar.
Remuneration
Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including car allowance.
