About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team to support boosters and interventions across Year 3 to Year 6. This role is integral to our mission of ensuring every child receives tailored support to reach their full potential. The vacancy has arisen due to an expansion in our intervention programs and a commitment to providing additional support to our Key Stage 2 cohort. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted interventions, assist with classroom management, and contribute to the overall pastoral care and development of our students. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a formal interview at our school in Islington. The interview will include a panel interview with members of the Senior Leadership Team, and an opportunity to tour the school facilities and meet potential colleagues. We aim to provide a welcoming and informative interview experience to ensure both parties find the best fit for this important role.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, particularly within Key Stage 2.
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development, with a focus on boosters and interventions.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team of educators.
• Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering boosters and interventions in English and Maths, tailored to the individual needs of students.
• Supporting the class teacher in preparing and maintaining learning resources.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, including SEN pupils.
• Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour
management strategies.
