As a Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role offers a dynamic work environment with the potential for significant professional growth and the satisfaction of contributing to a cleaner, greener future.
Key Responsibilities:
On-site management of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
Plan and manage all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion.
Collaborate with the Design team to ensure buildability.
Evaluate tenders from sub-contractors and place orders.
Ensure projects align with agreed-upon designs.
Communicate with stakeholders and deliver weekly project progress reports.
Develop and adhere to the project programme.
Collaborate with the rest of the team.
Ensure project quality meets company standards.
Maintain good relationships with landowners.
Drive the project through to completion.
Ensure the highest HSQE standards are always maintained on-site and in compliance with UK HSE and CDM regulations.
Timely preparation of site HSE progress and quality reporting.
Coordination of subcontractors and all on-site activities.
Manage materials logistics and deliveries on-site.
Interface management between stakeholders including: ICP subcontractors, landowners, DNOs, clients, etc.
Skills Required:
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or proven track record in a similar role.
Construction trade qualification (e.g., Electrician).
SMSTS or similar qualification.
First aid at work certification.
Experience managing commercial renewable energy projects, ideally solar ground-mount above 5MW, with 5+ years of experience preferred.
Flexible and proactive approach to work.
Ability to manage project work independently, often away from home.
Proficient in common MS Office packages.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A background in construction is preferable.
Fluent in English
Self-starter with a commitment to self-development and a passion for renewable energy.
PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and large-scale project execution.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
