I'm currently recruiting a Merchandise Planner for a leading West Midlands based retailer who pride themselves on their friendly and informal culture. In this role, you will have full autonomy for the merchandise process within their Seasonal category. You will oversee planning, forecasting and trading for specific season product lines, as well as supporting the Merchandising Leadership team providing strategic vision for the department at Senior level. About the role Your primary responsibilities within this exciting and challenging role will include delivery of the Merchandising & Supply strategy within your category by building relationships with internal teams to continuously develop & optimise product lines. You will work closely with the team to manage the WSSI and OTB, identifying any existing or potential stock issues and presenting a strategy to Senior Management. You will also be required to work closely with internal teams to improve product forecasting as well as reviewing daily & weekly trading reports to reduce stock risks About the person To be considered for this position, you will have experience of working in a Retail Merchandising environment where your experience in the industry will have seen you develop outstanding commercial skills in planning and forecasting. You must also be able to forge relationships with others in the business using your influencing and relationship building skills.
