Mechanical Assembler required for an engineering & manufacturing company based in Surrey. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be working in the clean room environment putting together machine sub assembly.
Key Skills:
Building and assembling machine sub-assemblies
Mechanical assembly of special purpose machines
HV/UHV vacuum experience.
Brazing experience and working with copper pipes brazing is desirable.
Experience of working within a clean room environment.
Helium leak checking of vacuum systems/components.
Assembly technician actively builds and tests a wide range of electro/mechanical sub-assemblies and systems.
Must be able to work with small mechanical parts and components
Intricate assembly work
Ability to work to assembly drawings & instructions
Must be able to use various hand tools such as spanners, screw drivers, torque wrenches as well as power tools.
Assembly technician is responsible for ensuring all equipment used, which requires calibration, is within the calibration period.Desirable:
Experience of clean room working would be desirable but not essential.
Experience in a manufacturing environment assembling complex systems.
Diligent with good attention to detail with drive to complete tasks.
Competence in mechanical handling and safe methods of working.
Hours of work:
Shift pattern is expected to alternate between early (06:00 to 14:00) and late (14:00 and 22:00).
Flexibility will be required to swap shifts to cover for holiday and sickness. During the initial phases of 3-months' probation, it will be required to work on standard day (8:00 to 16:00)
