Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Research and Development Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a recent graduate to contribute to the design, development, and testing of state-of-the-art orthopaedic medical devices. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering and have a strong interest in medical device innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design and development of new orthopaedic medical devices from concept through to production.
* Conduct literature reviews and market research to support the development of innovative product solutions.
* Perform engineering analysis and simulations to optimize product performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, regulatory, and quality assurance to ensure successful product development.
* Develop and execute test protocols for the evaluation of device performance and safety.
* Document all phases of the design process, including design history files and technical reports.
* Participate in the preparation of regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with relevant medical device regulations.
* Support ongoing product improvement initiatives and post-market surveillance activities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools.
* Basic understanding of materials science and mechanical properties.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
* A keen interest in the medical device industry and a passion for improving patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous internship or project experience in the medical device field.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for medical devices (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations).
* Familiarity with statistical analysis and data interpretation
