Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel have been approached by a SEMH Provision in Burnley who are requiring a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant who is responsible for tutoring students who do attend school and will need 1:1 intervention in a local library.
The school caters for pupils with for students aged 11-16 years with Social Emotional Mental Health. The successful candidate would be joining a highly committed and dynamic staff team making a real difference to the lives of families, carers and young people with special educational needs.
-          September 2024
-          Pay dependent on skills, expeirence and qualifications
-          Monday – Friday (9am – 3pm)
-          Location: Local library
Duties include:
-          Provide 1:1 session for English and Maths and scaffold the pupil’s knowledge.
-          Plan and deliver engaging sessions differentiated to meet the needs of the pupils.
-          Build and maintain positive working relationships with the pupils.
-          To assess the needs of the identified pupils and to provide written reports for strategies and advice of how to support those pupils.
-          To take responsibility for implementing agreed systems for pupil supervision and develop good relationships with pupils to support positive behaviour.
