The Managing Director ideally with Scientific Camera Technology / Inspection Systems experience will have a local management team reporting into them: Finance, Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Engineering. A technical degree is required, as well as experience in Operations and Business Development. Applicants must possess a dynamic and application driven approach to the sales process and the drive to achieve ambitious growth goals. The Managing Director must inspire the organisation to be customer focussed to attain top line revenue growth and improve profitability. 20-30% travel is expected.


About the Role:

KEY FEATURES OF RESPONSIBILITY – High level roles with both Internal and External focus:



  • Provide inspired leadership companywide – act as coach to senior management team; build and model company culture
  • Make high level decisions about policy & strategy

  • Work with senior stakeholders – develop relationships with key customers, prospects, suppliers, regulatory authorities, local community.
  • Act as primary spokesperson for the company


Qualifications:

  • Educated to Degree Level in a technical subject (Imaging, Engineering or Material Science)
  • MBA


Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management or similar industry
  • Sales of technical equipment
  • Export control
  • A proven record as a team player who has the ability and confidence to work on own initiative and independently when needed
  • Ability to train, develop, motivate and manage teams
  • Experience in x-ray and detection technology
  • Experiences with significant operations improvements and revenue growth
  • The Managing Director ideally with Scientific Camera Technology / Inspection Systems experience


Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of x-ray technology and imaging
  • Development of sales and marketing plans
  • Financial Statements


Skills & Abilities:

  • Read and interpret specifications & technical documents
