THE ROLE - EHS Lead
This is a rare opportunity for a highly experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Leader to join a prominent aerospace engineering businesses Senior Leadership team.
You’ll need to have a significant track record of delivering EHS, and demonstrate both leadership and sound hands on Environmental, Health and Safety management skills.
The business is looking for someone to work collaboratively with staff at all levels and take a mentoring/coaching approach to delivering EHS to the site.
Due to the industry and scale of site, EHS is of vital importance, and you’ll ideally come from a manufacturing background to understand the challenges faced daily.
DUTIES - EHS Lead
Lead EHS initiatives for a workforce of up to 1000 people.
Build a strong EHS culture with firm expectations.
Craft strategic EHS plans and policies that align with wider business objectives.
Ensure EHS plans and policies adhere to industry regulations and laws.
Manage budgets effectively to support the execution of EHS programs.
Work with Shop Floor operations to ensure EHS enhances productivity and quality.
Offer expert guidance to EHS committees, regulatory agencies, and union safety reps.
Promote EHS compliance through effective audits.
Design EHS training for all personnel on site.
Champion cross-functional collaboration, driving EHS strategic initiatives.
Prioritize the safety and well-being of all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Implement EHS strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives.
Manage the site security Risk & Crisis Management Program.
BACKGROUND - EHS Lead
Degree or sufficient experience in HSE.
Hold NEBOSH diploma.
Extensive EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
Cultural and team leadership and coaching experience
Aerospace experience a bonus
