The salary is around £50,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The working hours are full-time, Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
• To prepare client accounts using CCH software supported by full working papers and supporting documentation, liaising with the clients as necessary.??
• To undertake statutory audit work for clients.
• To draft corporation tax returns for a variety of clients.
• To provide input on some personal tax returns that are prepared by the Personal Tax Consultant.
• To prepare year end journals for the client’s accountancy system and input of journals to the client’s accountancy system.
• To prepare / review VAT calculations and VAT returns (flat rate, cash or accrual basis) which will involve liaising with clients in person, via email and by telephone.
• To produce management accounts within deadlines for clients.?
• To conduct client meetings as required.?
• To support and develop junior team members.?
• To identify areas where the company can offer further value for their clients and refer to other areas of the business as appropriate.
Experience, attributes & skills sought:
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Successful applicants would have detailed knowledge, understanding and experience of practice - based accountancy.?
• 1 year audit experience across all sections of the audit file.
• At least 1-3 years practice experience.
• Excellent team working and communication skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Good verbal and written communication.
