The Mechanical Design Engineer will be reporting into the Principal Design Engineer and you will be responsible to provide mechanical design activities across new product development. As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will producing detailed designs via 3D CAD, FEA & CFD simulation tools.
Within the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will have the following responsibilities:
Producing designs using 3D CAD, FEA & CFD to simulate mechanical behaviour.
Take the lead on qualification test activities and author test plans
Tolerance analysis of designs
Generation & amendments to drawings and documentations (working towards BS8888 standards)
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer:
Experience of reviewing technical engineering drawings
Working within NPD environments
Understanding of aerospace standards (MIL-STD-810, DO160)
Comfortable using simulation tools
Mechanical design experience (full life cycle)
SOLIDWORKS experience
This role will require the candidate to be on site 4 days a week. The candidate will be need to be eligible for SC Clearance.
Role is inside IR35 and paying up to £60 per hour
