About the Role: They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer, operating at or progressing towards a Senior level, to join the M&E and NetZero team within the Nottingham Building Surveying business unit. This role involves working closely with the Managing M&E Engineer and the broader team to support and expand the M&E design and surveying services in Nottinghamshire and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop mechanical design information for building services, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Organize and manage workload to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Analyze project information, considering design team input, constraints, and budgets.
Conduct site surveys and prepare feasibility reports and budget estimates.
Represent the M&E department in client and design team meetings.
Prepare tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, risk assessments, and pricing schedules.
Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices, focusing on Net Zero and low carbon technologies.
Maintain service quality standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay updated on industry developments and participate in relevant training programs.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients, upholding the organization's values.
Requirements:
Minimum qualification of HNC in a relevant Building Services Engineering subject.
Preferably a member of CIBSE/IET, with a desire to achieve professional accreditation.
Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Hevacomp/IES.
Highly motivated and proactive approach to work.
Full UK Driving Licence.
