My client is a premier provider of commercial motor insurance, offering comprehensive coverage for commercial vehicles. Our portfolio also includes private motor & fleet. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and support.

Job Overview:

They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Motor Claims Handler to join our dynamic claims team. The successful candidate will manage claims from first notification through to conclusion, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with our standards and service level agreements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Management:
  • Handle incoming claims from first notification to resolution.
  • Investigate and assess the validity of claims, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all claims handled.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and reports for internal and external use.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing queries and concerns promptly.
  • Keep claimants informed about the progress of their claims.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other team members, including deputy managers and the Claims Manager, to ensure smooth and efficient claims processing.
  • Liaise with solicitors and other external parties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in claims handling, within the commercial motor insurance sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant computer applications.
