Summary:
Responsible for Process Engineering activities required to meet the client’s specification and contractual commitments for full project life cycle from Concept phase to Commissioning. Occasional support for troubleshooting production plant issues.
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Understand, identify and specify process requirements to meet clients’ specification through Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning.   
Develop process basis of design
Perform and check calculations as required
PFD/P&ID development and checking #
Carry out equipment sizing/specification, including datasheet generation and checking 
Preparation and checking of other relevant documentation e.g. equipment lists, line lists,  
Carry out process safety activities as required e.g. contribute to HAZOP and/or PHRA 
Input to process control philosophy 
Provide written and/or verbal reports on work undertaken 
Ensure compliance with any relevant standards and specifications – these can include Booth Welsh standards/specs, client standards/specs, and British/European standards/specs.    
Liaise with vendors / equipment suppliers for technical support and quotations 
Liaise and collaborate with other engineering disciplines where required e.g. instruments and electrical, mechanical and piping, control systems   
Liaise with client personnel where required e.g. client chemists, plant operations personnel, client management 
Provide support to other process engineers
Collaborate with other team members, including project managers, to ensure effective project delivery 
Implement and contribute to the development of processes and procedures to ensure that all client requirements are met and projects are delivered on time and in budget  
Have knowledge/awareness of the overall company strategy and actively contribute to achieving this 
Carry out such tasks as are within capability as required by the Process Engineering Manager or a Project Manager 
Carry out estimation and project planning for process engineering activities 
Use of client’s systems to obtain plant data, investigate plant issues and recommend solutions.
Active involvement in the client’s safety programme  
Required Competencies  
Minimum Bachelor’s degree with honours in Chemical/Process Engineering 
Minimum 4 years relevant experience 
Knowledge of cGMP principles would be an advantage 
Behavioural Competencies and Leadership Requirements  
Self-motivated / self-starting 
Strong problem-solving skills 
Good communication skills (written and verbal) 
Ability to work well in a team 
Ability to take the lead when required 
Willingness to share knowledge and experience
