A leading distribution business based in Preston are now looking to recruit a permanent Business Development Manager, this is due to company growth. This company pride themselves on their comprehensive range of products combined with unparalleled support and excellent service. This business has supplied thousands of products and have supported hundreds of installers over the years, giving them extensive experience in an industry that is very much up and coming in the UK.
The working hours of this role are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, however you will be expected to travel to which all expenses will be covered, and flexible working is provided.
Your new role
As Business Development Manager you will be at the forefront of the sales efforts, combining technical knowledge with sales expertise to drive revenue growth. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, recommend tailored solutions, and provide ongoing support to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.Your role will be crucial in expanding our market presence and achieving our sales objectives.Along with developing sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base, whilst building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Collaborate with the technical team and manufacturers to ensure product knowledge is up-to-date and to provide feedback on market needs and trends.Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network, generate leads, and promote the brand. You will be working with the internal sales team to prepare quotations to close sales and achieve revenue goals. Providing sales support, including product training and commissioning, to ensure customer satisfaction.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, you must have excellent attention to detail and be able to take ownership of your own workload, including strong time and diary management. Whilst meeting face to face with clients and customers, you must have a friendly and professional attitude and be well presented. You should be self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently, whilst able to think tactfully and professionally overcoming objections.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitive annual salary of £40,000 plus commissions and car allowance, however a vehicle will be provided after probation. You will receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, flexible hybrid working, free on-site parking, company pension scheme, Death in Service and will receive retail discounts, along with many more.
