Due to ongoing success they are on the lookout for a Lab Supervisor / Lab Coordinator to join their impressive Technical team.As Lab Coordinator you will be responsible for managing and leading up to 10 direct reports to achieve the operational and strategic ambition of the laboratory department. Accountable for driving motivation, carrier path and growth within the team through individual development plans.Typical responsibilities include –

  • Coordinate the laboratory in your shifts system and schedule
  • To be the site representative on lab project activities linked to the site covering both internal and external requirements.
  • Responsible for analysis and reporting of all finished products, intermediates, raw material, and ad hoc samples according to standards and Analytical Governance requirements.
  • Act as a technical expert providing advice, support to laboratory managers in relation to methods, equipment, and technologies.
  • Monitoring and adjusting the performance of analytical methods: organizing, reporting, and evaluating internal and external quality control of the analysis
  • Manage the budget for maintenance and calibration of laboratory apparatus (including those prepared in production): negotiation of maintenance contracts for laboratory equipment and optimization in terms of costs
  • Implement and supervise the release of final products with quarantine period (UHT products and fresh products)
  • Coordinate the implementation of the training program for laboratory staff (both maintaining knowledge and implementation of new analysis methods)
  • Optimize processes and reports in the laboratory (in terms of cost, time efficiency and reliability)
The ideal candidate will –
  • Have a proven background as a Lab Supervisor / Lab Coordinator / Lab Manager, with experience of leading a team of Lab Technicians
  • Proven experience in the food, drink or pharma sectors
  • Minimum HACCP Level 3, Level 4 Food Hygiene
  • Experience of Previously Managing all FDA, FSCC2200 and ISO Accreditations and experience with LIMS
