They have been serving clients in the area for over 23 years and service businesses, small and large, across many sectors.About the Opportunity:Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Senior Manager /Director at their Berkhamsted office who will provide professional accountancy services to their fee-paying clients. As well as supporting the other director responsible for the office, you will work with other senior staff to manage the daily running of the office as well as supporting junior staff in their day-to-day work and be responsible for developing new business.About the Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for:Reporting directly to the Board Director assist in the management of the Berkhamsted office by working with other senior staff on a day-to-day basisManage a portfolio of clients. Develop strong relationships & identify opportunities to provide additional services where appropriateLook to convert networking opportunities into new client businessPlanning workload for both self and othersReview of financial statements and tax returnsReview work to identify relevant points to raise in client meetingsResponsible for billing, fee reviews and new client quotationsLiaise with clients to assist with queries or request additional information for their accounts and returns ensuring accuracy and statutory deadlines are met at all timesAbout the Applicant:The successful candidate will be:Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA with at least 6 years experience of working within practiceAble to demonstrate financial management experience and legislative compliance with the ability to interpret relevant legislation to clientsAble to demonstrate the ability to manage a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses in respect of accountancy, taxation & business adviceExperienced in managing a teamKnowledgeable of accounting systems including Sage, QuickBooks & XeroAble to deliver a high-quality accountancy service to clients with excellent technical knowledgeStrong & empathic communication skills at all levels and with both clients and colleagues.Experienced in gaining new businessMobile and flexible to visit clients sites as neededGood IT skills with the ability to work without close supervisionA people person who is a team player and willing to help at all levels
